Best breed for a pet?

Noise isn't really a problem out here. The town is a square mile in size, less than 500 people (I'd say much less, but that's what the sign on the road says). In the middle of nowhere, literally, and pretty much everyone has a noisy animal of some kind. She lives out of town, too, so noise is even less of a problem. Hell, I'm just barely inside town and no one has complained about my turkey that yells a lot. Plus all of my roosters crowing.

At the moment, the only breeds I know are available to us are pekin, rouen, cayuga, khaki, indian runner, blue swedish, buff (?), mallard, and welsh harlequin.

Internet is really being a pain today. Can't even get it to work on my phone. One of the downsides of living in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it's pretty until you have to go to "town" to go shopping. 2-3 hours on extremely curvy roads, one way, before you hit a town with actual stores with anything more than basic groceries and essentials. You have to set aside your whole day to go to town.

I have 2 ducks n the one is white n has a lil puff of hair on his head...so cute! From what u read I gave come to the conclusion he's a boy.His quack is deeper n the girl is white n black n she's smaller n her quack is high pitched

Sounds like you maybe right how old are your ducks? and your white one with the poof is called a crested.

Welcome to BYC

So you don't like living in the middle of no where? Why are you there?

I like living in the middle of nowhere, it's just a pain to get out of town, especially when you're poor. I'm on call at work, too, so I get even less chances to go out of town, because I would have to take the whole day off to do it, which I can't do because there isn't enough work to begin with in the winter/early spring, because this is a tourist town. Need people going through to make a living.

Sounds like our town we depend on the tourist trade also our town would be completely dead without it it's about half way now. We drive about 50 miles one way to do any major shopping and go about once a month.
