Best breed of Roo?

I know a lot of you love your roos. Well i want a standard size one for my standard girls. I would like one that is pretty protective. Sometimes my toy poodle chases the hens just to watch them fly. I'm sure a roo would put him in his place. Whats your guys' favorite breed?

I think all roo's have different personalities,But, I've never had a problem with cochins

my standard roos are orpingtons and I have 3 batam cochins. LOVE

them. both breeds are very sweet.

Thats a hard call to make... I have A BR, RIR & BO roo's, and all are great for flock protection.
