Best Broody types?

My Japanese Bantams are very broody and great mothers. But they are only BANTAMS, so I can't hatch out normal sized chickens with them!

My standard Cochins were egg hatching fools, and they were huge so I could stuff a ton of eggs under them (one hen hatched and cared for 26 peeps)! They were actually pretty decent layers too, when they weren't broody. But, they ate a ton! I have Silkies now, still waiting for someone to go broody :barnie hurry up girls! Good luck.

Lol thank you guys for your advice imma try a go at my husbands AGF hen she's real laid back and easy to handle we call here dede. But I still plan on buying some egg layers this spring. And hopefully some polish if I can find a place/ person that will sell under 25! I don't have the space for that many babies!!! Haha.
