Best cage for indoor chicken?

Does anyone here have recommendations about what size and type of cage is best for keeping one pet chicken in a bedroom? Which store, PetSmart or Petco, sells an easy to clean cage that won't produce a stinky smell? Thanks.
Honestly, I kind of agree with them. but also I don’t. Many of my friends have indoor chickens and my Two bantams (they’re less than 2lbs) stay inside my screened lanai and go outside any time I’m home, at least a three hour minimum daily. It definitely would smell bad! my friend‘s mom has an inside chicken Since her other chickens don’t like her AT ALL, and she is litter trained for when she is indoors. The chicken Stays in a 2’ by 4’ ”coop“ when she Is in the house and spends a lot of her day outside since she is a stay at home mom. Even then, she has to change bedding every 2 days even though it’s a bantam sized silkie. i feel like an Orpington or a turkey would be kinda big to keep inside but that’s for you to decide. Do you plan on letting her/ him outside during the day? How big of a cage do plan on buying? And good luck!

I would like a nautilus. But a nautilus would not like living in my house. Some people do it and its complicated and expensive and not much fun for the nautilus. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I think you are getting some good advice even if it's not what you want to hear. May I ask why you would want an indoor chicken? Is it because you don't have a yard? If you don't own your home you might run into problems with your landlord. If not, I did see a chicken on a leash the other day. Maybe that could help with your chicken getting some exercise. My chickens range far and wide all day long so if you do decide to leash-train a chicken plan on taking it for long walks. Of course then you run into issues of it catching diseases from wild birds. We all have to deal with that but it would be more difficult to avoid if taking your chicken to the park where wild ducks and geese poop on everything...good luck in your chicken adventures. One more thought: when chickens lay eggs they are VERY noisy and your neighbors might not appreciate it. I can hear my chickens lay an egg from inside the house and they're on the other side of the property.

Please don't do this. It will not be fun for you or your chicken.
1. Chickens need to live in a flock.
2. They need to live outdoors to be happy AND healthy
3. They are smelly, dusty, and gross when inside.
4. They poop ALL THE TIME. Literally. And trust me - you will get tired of changing the "diaper" and cleaning off the poopy bum feathers.

Also, why did you come here in the first place if you are stubbornly resisting our friendly advice? Don't you care about the chicken's wellbeing? Even if you mean well, please don't mistreat an animal for your own enjoyment of keeping it inside.

I hope you can find the advice you are looking for.
......but I think @3KillerBs said it best. "It's one thing to keep a rescue bird who is incapable of living a normal life indoors as a service to the bird, who would otherwise be culled. It's quite a different thing to deliberately subject a normal, healthy chicken to a lonely and unnatural life."

Helping rehabilitate a long term injured bird is very different from taking a happy, healthy bird and turning it to a house pet. It's unnatural, and bad for both you and the bird.

My chickens know how to walk on leashes 🤣. and you’re right. I think this is just a controversial topic and from people who have been keeping chickens 5, 10, 25+ Years

I didn't believe it when I saw it and he said the chicken tried to back out of the leash when he first tried it but there it was at the farm store, just clucking around like a weird dog. I'd rather see a chicken on a leash than a cat :gig
