Since you are in Texas you're in Bucee's territory. They have the neatest weather vanes and you can pick your animal for the top.  They have a chicken one!  Check it out on one of your road trips.

I love bucee's and I had forgot about that but I need to go by one because I've been wanting a weather vane!!

So I started decorating my coop some. Here is what I've done so far.

I also ordered this light but I don't have it hung up yet!

I absolutely love that deviled eggs sign!!

We finally have the coop completely built and we're working on painting it... then comes the gardening and decor! Woot!!

We do a lot of seasonal décor indoors and out!











We have a plaque with hooks for hanging dried herbs from our garden! -really makes a lovely fragrance in the coop!






-curtains and decorative signs are a must!

-rooster hook from a local store and a lined wire egg basket are handy in the coop for egg-gathering!

-rooster statuary from a local nursery is cheerful in the perennial bed next to the coop!

-fountain for the garden visitors (birds and squirrels), and the added serene sound of water next to the gals' abode!

-rooster flag in the ladies' perennial bed!

-seasonal wreath, statuary, and lots of perennial flowers next to the coop! Catmint, rosemary, and lavender provide a welcoming aroma!

Thanks. I love how this four month build turned out. I could have never done it with out the help of a good friend. It was hard work but fun.
