Best Dark Egg Layer and where to get them

I really want to get some good productivity dark egg laying hens. I am thinking some Maran's. Are these the best breed for this? Where is the best place to get them?

Marans lay big,verry dark eggs.They are big birds,good mothers.They lay 150-180 eggs per ya.Best are Black Copers.Breeder will have better stok than hatchery.

Black coopers or Welsummers

Marans or Welsummers. Marans usually lay darker eggs but my welsummers lay dark eggs with lots of spots. Cool eggs.

My welsummers lay nice terracotta colored eggs. They are very mild tempered. I do not like my marans at all, they peck at each other and the roos are aggressive with the hens.
