Best egg cartons for True JUMBO COTURNIX eggs.

I had my little photo shoot, but it’s really hard to tell anything from the pics. I might load them up here anyway when I get to the house with wifi and whiskey this evening. 😎
I’m curious about the jml line you mentioned with a rep for big egg. It’s the first I’ve heard of such, but until I killed them last week, the older hens I got from Southwest Gamebirds last year were consistently giving me the biggest eggs on average. Their daughters that I’ve selected for next year's breeders are bigger than they were, but don’t yield the same avg size eggs. Now, some of my other breeding stock came from Myshire and Blue Ridge, so this generation's pedigree isn’t all from them. Maybe I’m seeing a genetic trait I need to pay more attention to.
Can you by chance give me a little more specific reference to the line you mentioned?

The birds I have now are from AJ farms they are 1 of 3 indorsed to sell and use JMF name/line. They are JMF Jumbo Brown Meat Makers. Southwest Gamebirds and Kansas City Quail Farm are the other 2 indorsed to sell this line by JMF. JMF stands for James Marie Farms, they developed the line. But they only sell large scale. They advertise 12-16gr. eggs. Did you maybe mix up the link to the cartons that work for you with some of the others that you tried that are too small? Those you listed aren't even listed for Jumbo eggs like some others are.

Just did an Average of 35 of latest eggs laid from a new group that is only 8 weeks old. The average from the 35 eggs is (18.2). 11 of those 35 were from 20.6 to 24.5 grams, 13 were 16.7 to 19.5 grams, 11 from 13.9 to 16.2 grams. The smallest group of 11 eggs 13.9 to 16.2 grams is the only eggs that fit these cartons.
I recently got some 24 slot cartons that are way better than the other few types I’ve tried. They handle all but the freakishly large outsized ones comfortably. I’ll see if I can figure out where I got them and get back with a link.

edit:
ok, that was easy

Alright, well those are huge! With you getting that many over 18gr, these cartons aren’t gonna be very useful.
Also, I’m jealous.

Yes, the top 4 out of the 35 eggs were double yolks. Still about 18-gram avg. Ya still looking haven't tried any others yet but have a few to look into. Will post when I find cartons that will hold large jumbo eggs.

I can't find anybody selling larger quail egg cartons, but there is a company, EggCartons.com that specializes in producing cartons, from goose to duck to chicken to quail. All the chicken cartons look like even your giant quail eggs would swim in there, while the quail cartons are just that smidge too small for your giant eggs. There may be a growing market for the slightly larger quail egg size. I wonder if a number of us with larger quail eggs got together and sent a petition for larger size with a pledge to order from them?

Their prices don't look that much off from Amazon, and they seem like nice folks to deal with. Anybody here dealt with them?
