I had my little photo shoot, but it’s really hard to tell anything from the pics. I might load them up here anyway when I get to the house with wifi and whiskey this evening.
I’m curious about the jml line you mentioned with a rep for big egg. It’s the first I’ve heard of such, but until I killed them last week, the older hens I got from Southwest Gamebirds last year were consistently giving me the biggest eggs on average. Their daughters that I’ve selected for next year's breeders are bigger than they were, but don’t yield the same avg size eggs. Now, some of my other breeding stock came from Myshire and Blue Ridge, so this generation's pedigree isn’t all from them. Maybe I’m seeing a genetic trait I need to pay more attention to.
