This is what is in our pond we are yet to catch!

I have those logger heads too. I like to use my .17 magnum on them. My Uncle bought a metal turtle trap. It worked great. They would swim in and could not get out. I'm sure you can still get them if you Google "Turtle traps". It has a trap part and a bait cage. I would put scrap food and left overs like chicken in there. In a few days there would be so many turtles in there they would float the trap. I know the Chinese pay good money for turtles for meat and soup. They also make bowls out of the shells. So you could sell them and make a little walking around money.

The biggest one I've ever seen was stuffed. It was at this little gas station near Atlers, OK. The shell was as big as a 4x4 tire and the head was the size of a large Folders coffee can.

"honey, have you seen the ducks?.........Honey?"

Hey, why choose just one? Get a few.
A nice .22, .223, .17, for something bigger, 30-30. And then of course you got a nice choice of 12 and 16 or 20 guage, and .410. And don't forget something for the hip, like a .38, .357 and .45 will do nicely. If you want to go cheaper route with the handgun ammo wise, could always get a .22 as well.

I did get a few. I got a Ruger 10/22 back in 98. In 2006 I got a Beretta Extrema 12 gauge for 3 1/2 shells, Ruger 30-06, Marlin .17 HMR, and a Taurus .40 Cal. Last year I bought a Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight .25-06. This year I traded a 12,000 lb truck winch for some cash and a pump Remington 12 gauge for my brother to use on Varmits while I'm not home.

That's the ones I still have now. My first rifle I got when I was about 11. Then when I was 13 my Dad gave me his Mossburg 20 gauge for Christmas. Killed my first deer with that. I've had about 7 or 8 others that I either pawned or traded over the years. A 12 gauge Mossberg pump, a stainless .270 Remington, about six .22's and one little pocket .22 magnum 5 shot revolver that was maybe 3 1/2 inches long.

Hey, now why does "the wife" need a air gun????? Any woman I know can handle a .223, please! I shoot .243, .30-06, .308, .30-30, AR15, and my DHs glock 9mm all the time!! And I love 12 guages, which was my Bday present. And I weigh all of 115 lbs.

In fact I bought a Remington .308 for my deer hunting rifle this year. Gorgeous gun!

sorry i didnt mean anything by what i said. my personal experience is that my wife wont shoot my large caliber guns. although she loves her .380 and is deadly accurate with it. if you want to read it into more than anything else, i am sorry. the current lineup of air guns are pretty impressive. i have raccoon problem here in my neighborhood and i know my wife will not discharge a firearm to dispatch a trapped animal. however she will shoot a airgun without a thought. YMMV.
