Hi!

I am interested in getting some quail. What have you found to be the best hatchery for quail?
-Reasonable prices
-Good survivability rate
-Meat production
-Broody mothers (or fathers, I have heard that both will incubate eggs)
-Health of chicks and adults

In addition, what is the best breed for hot weather? I have done some research, and it looks like Coturnix will be the best.

Thanks!

I’ve heard wonderful things about southwest gamebirds, if I were to order more eggs it would be k. Dale Coturnix as first choice, I’ve hatched eggs from them and they’re spectacular, but they aren’t always available. Second choice would definitely be Southwest gamebirds.

I got all mine from Gopher Ridge Quail in georgia, he shipped them and they are FANTASTIC birds. My girls lay big healthy eggs and they are as sweet as can be. My shire is good but they sell out fast. Ive had a really great experience with Gopher Ridge
