FalseNot like chickens.

Here's the perfect house chicken for you! What is the best indoor chicken breed? I don't like silkies. I've had a buff polish as a house pet, and would consider getting a polish.
I'm looking for the following:
~Small
~doesn't need a ton of attention
~doesn't need another chicken companion
~doesn't lay many eggs
~visibly attractive and fun
~calm
~doesn't try to poop all over everything
~would be ok wearing a diaper
Oh cool I have one of those too! Here's the perfect house chicken for you!![]()
No poop, doesn't need attention, AND you can just have one! Here's the perfect house chicken for you!![]()
I know you didn't, and that was not what I meant to implyI never said they weren't happy outside without human interaction. I had some raised by broody hens but they are still very friendly.
Chickens are also predators to mice and other small animals, and they are really friendly when raised by humans.Hmm, let's see. There is one main flaw in your comparison. Dogs are derived from predators, while chickens pray. A prey animal that cannot act upon their fight or flight instinct is an extremely stressed and anxious animal. In addition, dogs have been around for 4.000 years, while chickens not so much. Dogs have been bred to live alongside humans, while chickens as livestock, something completely different
