I think the fact that it was a posted fair warning would cover your butt! lol Call your lawyer. I know the police would tell you "Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6" in the case of self defense. But you also would have to prove that your life was in danger.

My paranoid mother says that where we live, if you post a sign that says "Beware of Dog", and your dog then bites someone (where? I dunno) you are liable because you knew the dog was dangerous. This is from my mom, though, who has proven herself to be an unreliable source.

Regardless, if I had one in Spanish, I'd have both versions on every corner.

in todays crazy liable sue happy world who knows? But like alot of things, it doesnt seem to make much sense to me! What if she posted a sign that said Beware of Dragons? (if the sign doesnt fit, you must aquit - haha) and if the trespasser had any criminal record then you could also point out that THEY were dangerous. haha even a traffic ticket! But LOOK - they broke the law before!

Is it just me or do you hear all too often about criminals trying to sue the people that they're stealing from? One of the local store got broken into and the guy tried to sue the shop owner for cutting himself on the window he broke, there sure are some crazy people out there.
