Best time to get chicks?

Depends on your climate, if you have harsher winters, mid spring to early summer should be good. If you have harsh summers and not as bad winters, spring or fall will work. I would if at all possible just avoid ordering in summer or winter if at all possible. Even if your state is fairly mild, they could be traveling through states with harsher temps. As someone else said, Meyer hatchery does sell sexed bantams. YMMV with how they'll do with your standards though, just be prepared to house them separately in case it doesn't work out if you do try it
