Best vegetation for a duck habitat?

They need some trees and bushes too for cover from heat and predators.

Lilac is my Anaconas favorite all 4 seasons. Snacking, nesting, cover. They prefer it with all the ground suckers that provide a nice screen. (I trimmed one and now they avoid it)

I live in zone 7, so I think I could grow them. I’ll look into them at my local nursery or online. Thanks for the input!
