best way to kill rats

I'm fond of the stairway to heaven rat traps. I don't have rats but use them on mice. They catch multiples in a single night.
Just google 'stairway to heaven' rat trap. It is a bucket of water with a ramp and a spinning bait.

That does work great.

If you're serious about catching and killing a bunch of rats, make a dedicated trash bin trap.

you can put dry ice down their holes and the seal them. the dry ice will fill their passages with co2 and they will die. it works but you have to know what tunnels hey are in

you will also need to seal ALL the exits...and you would have to put a heck of a lot of dry ice down.

The co2 is heavier than the air so even if you miss few exits is still works. i just buy a big block at corp brothers.

these walk the plank traps work great...I have a tall skinny garbage can and in winter I put corn oil instead of water. the oil solidifies around 3F

but any trap they will figure it out
