This is the easiest method I have ever used, works perfect every single time! I even boil somethimes well over 15 minutes, as I forget, or ignore the timer!

I do 2-3 batches of egg salad every week for sale, and I love this simple quick method!

no salt needed, no holes, and I use eggs from straight out under the hens! literally! No ageing needed! It doesnt even matter if you are mixing egg sizes, they all come out perfect, and yummy!

Try it, you wont believe it!!

Agree with everything above, go read that thread and see, we were all amazed. I have hardboiled gathered-that-day eggs and they peeled beautifully using this method.

Some folks boil eggs then store them in the fridge in the shell-- this method almost always works-- even with older cold eggs!

If the eggs are already warm or room temp, skip this step...
Fill a bowl with hot water from the faucet and submerge the eggs for at least 5 minutes....

make sure each egg is WET when you crack it!

When you crack the egg-- allways whack the fat-end (air cell) 1st.. then crack it all over...

wet it again if you need to-- then roll the egg around on the counter under the palm of your hand, exerting GENTLE pressure tio the egg---

Now-- start at the fat end of the egg and pull-off the shell, making sure you get the membrane too..... then, the rest of the shell sould come right off!

Grandma always did it that way-- and never had "ugly" eggs!
