Best way to slaughter/butcher

We have a rooster that has torn up two other chickens and we have decided it's time for him to go.
We are going to eat him fo' dinnah!!

What is the best way to kill/butcher him?

Read the stickies at the top of the meat bird section. Nobody is going to walk you through it step by step when it has already been posted over and over.

I chop heads off with a hatchet. If you will read a few notes here in the meat bird forum you will see what other methods are used.
