Best way to transport hen chicks, advice.

Need to move two hens and there's chicks about twenty minutes away up the road to a friend's. The thing is, yes I'm taking there coop with them too, they are in the coop sitting on there chicks. Should you leave them where they are at you reckon an put the coop in a trailer with them locked in, in the nesting area? Or take them out into a secure cage and transport them in the car then put them back in coop at new location? the first option they are more undisturbed but just not sure if second option is better, but may need to if coop to big. Just want to get it done in the best way for birds.

How old are the chicks?
I'd put the mama's and their chicks in their own crates rather than leaving them in the coop.

A few days old, not even a week.

Give them at least a few more days, if possible, so the chicks are steadier on their legs and less likely to be squished by mama.
