Best work gloves for freezing temps?

TY.

WVDuck, those gloves look very comfy. But...

I won't buy a pair of work gloves if they are not 100% leather. That limits my options extremely. When I work in the yard, I may be feeding the chickens one minute, then pulling brambles the next. With my ADHD nature, I may go out to pick some lettuce, then perhaps come in 2 hours later, after stacking wood, fighting a war with raspberry canes, gathering a few eggs. "Squirrel!" Oh yeah... never did get that lettuce. So, if the gloves are not leather, top and bottom, they do not offer the protection I need.

Yep, doesn't sound like those would work for you. But they do come in small sizes.

@Soon2BChixMom you may also consider those Hot-Hands packs, if its just a thing of your hands getting cold. You can stick them down in the gloves, or carry in your pocket. :)

Yes, I did see it. The gloves you use would work well for me. I said her gloves LOOK comfortable, Not that they WOULD BE PRACTICAL for me! ;)

I measured my hand and found it to be 8.25. No wonder that the fingers are always too long. I'm disproportionate. My hand is not fat. But my fingers are not tall enough.

With these gloves an 8 would be great because they stretch ....

WV, I have a pair of that type or similar, I think. They fit my hand very well, but they aren't warm at all and are prone to gathering splinters. :barnie

I've paired them with the disposable gloves, they worked better then.

This is one of my perennial pet peeves. They simply don't make quality work gloves for a woman's hand. And even women's dress gloves are totally malproportioned, unless a woman happens to have super long fingers, or grows her talons, er... nails super long.
Ditto Dat!!!!

I have wide hands with short fingers, hardly any gloves fit right, especially if I need dexterity. Warmth and dexterity rarely go together anyway.

I wear rubber palm and fingers with mesh back gloves for doing chicken chores.
Yep, not warm but partially waterproof, stretch to fit tight for dexterity, grippy, and easily washed if necessary. My watering is set up so I just have to carry out gallon jug and top off water.

Other gloves for other tasks. I have a plethora of gloves around, most don't work well. I find good ones I'll buy 2-3 pair...and they always are no longer made once those wear out.

Used to wear silk gloves under warmer gloves for skiing, worked good if you needed dexterity your hand wouldn't freeze too fast with outer gloves off.

Back when I golfed they had a 'cadet' size, wide and short fingered, fit perfect. Wish all gloves had that option, not even golf gloves any more.

Oh, I could go on and on.

@WVduckchick the kind of gloves I’m currently using are very similar to mechanix gloves. Not the same brand though. But, I do need something to keep my hands warm. Not sure if the hand warmers will do the trick as it might be too bulky in my glove. However, I take my dog out with me in the mornings and she likes to catch her frisbee (no matter the weather). I have to take off my glove to play with her because I don’t want her getting chicken germs. :D Even though she’s already rifled through the compost with their poo. Lol So, I think the hand warmer in my pocket would do well. And, you just reminded me that I’ve got a reusable set that I found at CVS. Thanks!

Yep, gloves are one of my greatest pet peeves! There is a discount/salvage store near me. I always cruise the "glove" aisle. If I find leather gloves that come close to fitting, I will buy 3 or 4 pairs. Occasionally, I will find some priced any where from 99 cents to $4. I got through them very quickly. Unfortunately, I have lots of intact left gloves, while the right glove is in tatters!
