Between 5 to 6 week old Brahma chicks Gender guesses please.

I have 7 Brahma chicks. Would like gender guesses. The one and only light one I think is a Roo. The rest are buff and maybe a couple of hens. I am not sure.

I think you're right that the Light Brahma is a cockerel. It's hard to tell with the others, but it looks like mostly pullets to me. It's helpful to compare them to each other. I've found the cockerels are friendlier and have wider combs and thicker hocks than the pullets.

I will check the hocks out. So far they are all friendly. It is fun to watch for new developments.

The Light one is a cockerel. For the Buff ones I think #4 is the only definite cockerel as of now, it is a bit hard to tell though.
