Ok- I was given some brown eggs- not chocolate, just a darkish brown, some had speckles and two were BIG compared to the rest.
Now I have mystery chicks at 5 weeks old. I would also love a guess on a gender because I swear these fellas all look like males to me šŸ¤£
Photo white bird- lightly feathered feet, 4 toes, green grey legs, Mohawk and muffs:

The first two look like females to me. A bit more difficult when you can't compare between those of the same breed. The last one appears to have comb development of a male.

Neither welsummer or marans have crests, looks like some little olive eggers. It might be too early for gender.
Yeah- thatā€™s what has me cracking up. The eggs didnā€™t look maran but I totally thought well summer eggs until this lilā€™variety pack of mixers broke out and fluffed upā€¦ and then those Mohawks šŸ¤£

Thanks! Iā€™m excited to see if they are pullets- the second one has the sweetest temperament and is really big, but Iā€™m really hoping pullet šŸ¤ž

Are you allowed to keep roosters where you are? Cockerels won't necessarily keep a pleasant Disposition after they mature, but I've taken a chance on a a couple and been in luck.
Just curious as to what you might do with 'em if it turns out a roo! Dinner, maybe? :p
