Yep, always is. I'll be ordering chicks soon also.

I have my fingers crossed I can sell these little Ducklings soon.
They are cute but I don't need them.

If I order my chicks today, the closest hatch date is the 23rd of July.
I was told it's due to them selling out quickly, & or a certain breed availability holding up the order.

I looked at breed availability, it's not the problem, so I believe it's the fact they've been selling out really fast.

That's pretty late in the season already. I prefer to get chicks in the spring. If it works for you then that's okay.

I think he’s gorgeous!! I had 7 white and black...they are my favorite...I never saw that one like yours...I’d get one of those in a heartbeat!! I hate the claws..they will shread you! But, they are very laid back, very tame, and quiet. That goes well with my hubby. So, that would be what I’d get. Plus, I love how the black feathers shimmer green in the light. They were a nice bunch. Unfortunately with poultry of any species you need to keep the male population down. We butcher as necessary. We had 3 drakes but decided that was too many.

I do think my muscovy are beautiful. I have a couple of buffs and blues. My old lines would throw a lot of different colors. When I lost the last drake out of those we replaced him with a blue one. The drakes resemble him a lot. He went because he was attacking my roosters repeatedly.

I don't mind the claws because I seldom handle mine. I like that they roost too.
