Well how do you prevent the other Roosters from breeding the hens too? If they all run together the other Roosters will breed the hens too. Sorry but I'm confused?

Surprisingly, I haven't had much of an issue with hatching out a cross I didn't want. It only happened to me twice, at least.
My silver pencilled girl for example is one produced through an unwanted breeding.

She's Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Rhode Island Red.

The good news is that a hen won't use sperm from an unwanted rooster most of the time, & will store sperm from a rooster she accepts.
I try to use this as an advantage.

I got my Chickens Coop all cleaned out yesterday. The ladies were busy setting up house once we were done. They get so excited over fresh shavings.

They've been in it before, & bred the hens without a problem.

I understand. I mean yesterday. Maybe today the magic will happen and he will be more inclined to breed.

Nothing has eternally pipped yet today. Eggs are rocking a bit so Ducklings must be getting into position.
