I am an independent and I am very glad i changed parties We do not need a women in the office of Vice president just as we did not need a women as Sercretary of State. We may be open minded inthis country, but you forget we are dealing muslims. Anyone knowing anything about the religion should know they do not respect women. They do not and will not deal with a mwomen. I think that is one of the biggest problems that we have had these past 8 years. I have nothing against Rice or Pallin but we are at war with people who want to destroy our way of life and I really do not feel a women can do the job for us. I will also say this I think someone with a special needs baby should be at home. How long is her 16 year old daughter going to take care of him. Being a working mother is tough enough but add to that the additional problems of a special needs child I really don't think she will have the time or attention to give to this office. Unless she plans on taking the family with her on all the trips that will be necessary as Vice President.
