Greetings!
This is the first time I've hatched Bielefelders. The eggs are from Omega Hills Farm. I noticed that some of them are darker color but have a white spot on their heads. I assume that I have 4 males and 3 females - or in other words, all the ones with a white dot on their head are male. Can anybody tell me if that's true? chick on left in question.

I bought hatching egg's from them before too. A white or yellow sot on the head is a male. A female is darker in color and has the chipmunk coloring like @Sally PB mentioned in her post.

Congrats on the babies. Are you planning on keeping a boy or 2? I have 2 of my Bielefelder rooster's in with my Bielefelder hens, and they are getting along. One of my hens is currently broody.

Edited to add that the chick in the bottom picture that you are in question about is also a male.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Yep keeping them. Planning on raising at least 1 male, plus my father-in-law wants one of them to put in with some buff orpingtons.
