Is this a male or female? No spot on his head but he is lacking the definite chipmunk stripes all the others have.

Awesome! I was getting worried I wouldn’t hatch out a male. I feel so lucky! 5 females and 1 maleLooks male to me.
Well, kinda stinks if it's your only one and isn't clearly able to be sexed at hatch... because if it were me.. I would be sure to mark it and NOT breed from it.. that exactly how auto-sexing gets bred out of is by folks not selecting for it.Is this a male or female? Cute baby! I'd love to see a photo of the whole group for comparison.
Also, just for practice to see what I'm looking for.. This is my first year with Bielefelder and I've only had the ones that came from hatchery not my own yet. But I absolutely love knowing the gender and also love the breed!![]()
I hadn't thought of that. I guess the freezer is his future. I decided he is definitely a male because he is so much lighter than the others, who are all very dark and have clearly defined stripes. After a few hours in the brooder, he is much lighter than in those photos. If you can't tell, I'm trying to talk myself out of his fate lol. I'll snap a picture of them once the others are done fluffing up in the incubator!
