Anyone have a weird egg like this? It was laid by my blue runner duck. The egg is unusually large, with an indented ring around one end where the egg is asymmetrically pointed. I cracked it and there was a normal egg inside with this large ball on the end of the egg with the ring. Anyone seen this before? What is it? The egg was not spoiled or smelly.

Hi, do you still have that? If so, can you cut it open?

To me, it looks like a Follicle that has "died" for lack of a better word. No signs of veins present, but possible an intact Follicle that for some reason didn't develop and dropped into the oviduct. I'm not a vet or expert.
