Big Pile of Chickens?

Barred Rocks seem to think that everyone else has a more comfortable spot than them. I have 6.
These are some of mine trying to nap in the shade. 16 weeks old in a pile, pushing and shoving for the best spot.

Maybe by the time they decide to go in the coop for the night it's too dark for them to navigate the roosts. Clearly they can manage it during the day, so maybe a tiny night light just until roosting at night becomes habit?
