Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, so I will. First, someone said they should do alright since they are older...it is actually the opposite. Day olds do alright if there is a delay because they live off their absorbed yolk. I saw where someone on here puts a whole apple in with older chicks/chickens when they ship them jsut in case something like this happens. They can get the needed food and water from it. I know this won't help these babies unfortunately, but maybe any later shipments. I am so sorry and I hope these babies are alright.

I put a few grape pieces in there, so hoping that will sustain them. I was thinking the same thing , I honestly would feel a lot better had they been day olds.

That is why I chose grapes. They are still small so I put a few pieces in thinking it would be plenty. I am hoping the scrambled eggs and electrolytes they had Friday will help as well.

yep same thing happened to me, I shipped out full grown roos and hen the hen i shipped express, i shipped them all at the same time on a Sterday they asdured me it would be ok and they still move packeges on sundays well my babys were in the same state for 2 days they did not go anywhere, i was so mad, the one i shipped express, it took from saterday till wensday for them get her, she was dehadtated they said but after some tlc and lots of water she was back to normal, so regardless what anyone says i will never never ship on fridays or saterdays,

I wouldn't have known the difference either and if a shipping company told me something, I would have believed them too.
