Nightwhisper noticed another owl flying away. She let out a cat-like screech and flapped furiously towards the owl(Mo). There are just too many owls here for my liking! she thought as dove towards the owl.

Mo screeched and flew faster.

Nightwhisper halted and landed on a dead limb, pleased that she had scared off the owl. She hooted her signature call, then started to preen herself.
Summer saw the shadows of the large birds flying above, frightening her. Shadow, even though he was fairly small, prepared to fend off any would-be attackers.

Pheonix flew to a noise, she saw the outline of an owl she thought "finally, dawn has come, now i rule the skys" she went for an attack and landed on the owl (Shadow) causing him to fall

Sereima heard a thump behind her and saw the owl land, she flew off as fast as she could, she landed on concrete, and realized in less then a second it was wrong. Too late, something grabbed her and ripped out half her tail feathers. she flapped as hard as she could, gasping for breath. Sereima landed on a near branch and saw the out line of 2 birds, she had no choice but to trust them, as she wouldnt be able to fly off

So I'm assuming that Phoenix landed on Nightwhisper)

Nightwhisper screeched as she fell, but managed to get a hold of herself and fly away from the hard ground. She swooped around, getting a good look at who had attacked her.
Shadow and Summer stretched and preened themsleves after a somewhat sleepless night.

Sereima went up to them and cooed, her coo she thought, it was what her mother always said as no other kagu could make such a soft sound.

By the way, I just heard two Barred Owls in the woods near the house calling to each other! So neat!)

Nightwhisper landed in a nearby tree, close enough to carefully inspect Phoenix, but at a safe distance. "So," Nightwhisper said as she preened a feather. "who are you? Not a bird I usually see around here."
Shadow and Summer noticed the Kagu sitting there by herself, so flew close to investigate.
"Why, hello there!" Summer mewed softly.

"Hi" she said in amazement seeing they're cat birds "who are you?" she said in a voice so small it was barely audible
