Nightwhisper dove back into the bushes and ungainly flew into some nearby branches and eyed the parrots suspiciously. She noticed the nest and eggs. An easy meal...but not 'till tonight. Nightwhisper hid in a tree with thick foliage and fell asleep, waiting for night to come.

Aspen swooped back over to her perch in the meadow and resumed looking for insects. She spied a dragonfly, zipped out, caught it, and flew back to her perch to consume it.

Meanwhile, Summer and Shadow found a densely thorned bush which attracted their interest for a possible nest site.

Rose sat back down on her nest, ready to defend it with her life "sure, im the shy one but I'm the only one possible to do damage" she chewed on her beak content, waiting for night to come.

Sereima sat there in the tree panting, trying to figure out how dumb she sounded

BlueMan, the blue jay, was awakend suddenly from his nap. He heard a skirmish nearby. He began to scold noisely, and suddenly two squirrels burst forth from the underbrush, and dashed past him.

He lept up, squalled a loud EEE, then settled into a higher tree to scold them further, becore contemplating his dinner.

Hey, maybe there can be a pond!

Species: Hooded Merganser(Look up this bird on a search engine. I've seen one and they are really cool!)

Anything else: Nickel is an expert diver and does so to catch food such as insects, fish and other water-dwelling creatures. He also dives to hide from danger. Nickel fans his flashy crest to catch the attention of females and also to tell his mood: raised crest: excited, angry lowered crest: calm, sad, sleeping, happy mildly raised crest: annoyed, interested, confused
A little bit about your history: Nickel was not raised near this pond, but has claimed it as his own. He can be aggresive about it and chases away other waterfowl, even though he is a smaller species. He sometimes visits the forest, but it is rare.

BlueMan decided before lunch, hed go get a nice cool drink.

He flapped over to the pond, and stopped in the ceder tree, overlooking a broad bank. Before him many small birds were dipping in the pond shallows, but BlueMan looked past them, to the peacock he'd seen earlier, catching grasshppers and preening nearby.

As he prepared to take off, a voice from below startled him.

BlueMan stopped, and watched Rose creep up to him. She looked like a female to him, and it was nesting season, so he was very surprised to see her appear to approach him.

"Now, I havn't bothered you or your nest, wherever it is. Don't come pick a fight with me. I'm just hear for a drink, and some bugs. They are much less trouble than an egg, any day of the bird year!" exclaimed the starteld Blue Jay.
