That sucks hawks fly over my coop all the time the chickens hide and the geese and ducks honk and hiss and my tom sometimes gobbles at them my turkey hen just doesn't care lol!

your birds sure have diverse personalities.

Just wanted to verify what type of hawk this is, I live in southern ohio, I think its a red tailed hawk, but just wanted a positive ID, but what ever he is, he is gorgeous and stole at least two of my chickens through the fence, and possibly 2 more. Im not sure since the back of his tail feathers aren't very red.

I looked up 'hawks of Ohio' and one of the hawks looks just like yours it's a red-shouldered hawk

Hmm, I was debating between that and the red tailed, the only thing is the red shouldered has a barred tail, and the one that visited has a plain brown one.
