Birth Defected Chicken?

Welcome to BYC. I'm sorry your having some stress with your new chicks.
I've read quite a bit about dwarfism in chickens. I have one thst I believe has this condition, and have had one in the past that seemed to have it also. Both of mine were cclb. And we're hatchery chicks.
What breed is yours?
It is also possible, and more likely, that yours has a neurological condition or a mal-absorbtion problem. It is also possible that her egg came from a hen who had poor nutrition.
Selinium, Vitamin E, and Vitamin B complex may help. You can find a vitamin mix at Tractor Supply and you might feed her some scrambled egg daily.

We just purchased a couple new Bantams, and one of the chicks looks.... deformed?
Its body is shorter than the others her head is a tad bit bigger than the rest, and she keeps walking backward or falling over.
She is eating and drinking fine and socializes well.

Is there dwarfism in chickens?
Welcome to BYC!! Pics?
