Birthdays on Home Page?

There could be an announcement column where birthdays, animal births/hatches, other important events are written.

I wouldn't think this would be as likely to happen if we start tossing boxes for every event in there....just my thought. Birthdays are one thing....simply by not posting it on your profile you would be left off the list...

Otherwise, I agree with N F C that it could work if it was a box similar to the one for "who's online" at the moment.

What about doing a monthly/weekly hidden chicken somewhere on the site and the winnners who find it get some sort of prize? Like Metzer Farms does on their website

It's always good to get ideas for changes, but I'd like to stick with the birthday thought for this thread.

I also think that a birthday list is a great idea .. I too have trouble keeping track.
