My name is Sunrise Elanor. I am a red sex-link not much more than three hours old. Already all the female members of my hatch and I, as well as a handful of males, are in a shipping box, ready to be sent to a destination. Nobody knows where, but it is a large shipment. My sister Susan, who was incubated next to me, is sitting beside me, warm and comforting. We have known each other for three hours, and already the best of friends. She and I were relieved when put in the same shipment. We have 48 hours to get where we are going.
Sincerely, Sunrise Elanor

Fluffy: *cries* IT'S SO SAD!
all chickens (but Fluffy): * chickens stare at Fluffy*
Fluffy: *sniff* what? I WANT TO MEET THAT CHICKEN!

Sunrise: it is SNOWING here. REALLY hard, too.
Susan: The first snow usually comes around halloween, and sticks on the ground by Thanksgiving, but last year, it came so late that we didn't have a white Thanksgiving, and Christams was barely white.
Selena: but they're saying that we will get a hard winter this year. We got one back in 2010 as well.

Sunrise: Yeah! let's get Pullet Place!
Susan: There was a MAJOR lice breakout at Fir Tree school today.
Selena: six people were diagnosed early this morning, so they had to do lice checks on everyone. And around Thirty people had to go home.

Quote: Sophia: Sunrise Dies last March, Susan a week before Sunrise. They lived long, happy lives here. No reason to feel sad....
Elanor: Here, I have some of Sunny, Susan, and Sal's old posts (above the quoted one)

Bisquick: :O That journal is amazing!!! I am so glad that you found it. :)
Buttermilk: Do keep up with the journals that Sunrise, Susan, and Sal have written!
Snap: Yes, please do. :)
Hedwig: *groan* I have a project due tomorrow. :p
Hazel: Same here...
Hedwig: Pecking order?
Hazel: Yup!
Pippy: *gulp* I have a speech, and I hate speeches!
Omelette: I don't have anything due tomorrow! :3
Hedwig Hazel Pippy: ._.

We have traveled all day and all night, and I don't know where we are or where we are going. I have been talking to some of the others, mostly to pass the time. They are likely to be my flockmates, and I am happy to report that they all seem to be kind, sweet chickens. I must write their names now, so I don't forget. The one with the dark spot is Soccer, the peeping one is Aurora, the fluffy one is Autumn, the dark one is Pecky, the littlest is called Maya. There is a cock called Max (the biggest), and a cock called Arnie (the squeakyest) , a pullet called Annmarie (the one with the bright orange beak.)
Sunrise does not seem to have an interest in meeting them. She says there is no point if they are not going to be our flockmates, and there will be plenty of time to meet them if they are.

I was hungry, thirsty, and tired by the end of yesterday. The journey never seemed to end. But it did. The box was torn open, and everybody was pulled out into a place that was warm and soft. I wanted to go to sleep terribly, but my beak fell into a dish of water. I was awakened by the prospect of water, which I needed so badly, and I drank, and drank. Then Susan pulled me over to the food, and I ate. I fell asleep next to her on the floor.
I awoke feeling refreshed from my sleep. I ate and drank again, and then surveyed our surrondings. We are in a large brooder, with two feeders and two waterers. The brooder is in a large, high-ceiling room--perhaps a barn, as the roof is metal. There must be other brooders in the room--I can hear peeping.

Maizee: Hey yall! We have biiiig news!
Toph: Yep! BIIIIIGGGG news!
Bella: Peep! What's going on?
Kyle: *facewing* Boy oh boy, you just had to steal my thunder, didn't you Bella.
Bella: Sorryyyy...
Toph: Well, that's allright. You can still tell everyone the news, Kyle.
Kyle: You might've already guessed, but we have some new additions to our flock!
Jackie: Meeee!
Anna Marie: Meee!
Bella: And MEEEE!!!
Maizee: They are Red Rangers. Just 5 weeks old.
Buffy: Little brats.
Toph: Be nice Buffy. Just because they ate some of your scratch doesn't mean you have to hold a grudge.

Me: They are soooo cute! I'll post pics later. Jackie lost an eye to a wire fence. She's named after a female pirate.

all chickens: YAY! EVERYONE IS POSTING AGAIN!
Feathery: Our chicken coop is on Google Maps!
Snowy: I WANTED TO TELL THEM THAT!
Feathery: YOU ALWAYS GET TO!
Snowy: NO! FLUFFY DOSE!
Fluffy: uh oh, I don't like being talked about in a fight.
Snowy:*pecks Fluffy*
Fluffy: HEY!
Snowy: WHAT!?
Fluffy: YOU PECKED MEEEE!
Snowy: YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT?
Feathery: HEY! As chicken of the year, I say that there shall be no fighting in this coop.
Snowy: *pecks Feathery*
Feathery: HEY! YOU AREN'T THE BOSS!
Snowy: yes I AM!
Fluffy: STOP! *pecks both*
SnowyFeathery: OW!
Tweeter: STOP!
SnowyFeatheryFluffy: okay....

Terry: Aww, a good end to the mystery at last.
Gertie: Um... we're not open on weekends or Fridays. And after six on the east coast is after nine here. So.. not a very long party for us.
Lady: Yeah, it's pretty busy around here, so we may not be posting much. But we will be reading all the goings on. Hehe

Midge: How amazing! We don't have any deceased siblings to write us diaries, but that isn't stopping Akira and the pullets...
Gwynn: There HAS to be one!
Basil: Maybe in a tree?
Akira: Great! I'll just fly up and-
All other chickens: NO! No flying!
Akira: But we have to find the diaries!
Audrey: And who are you supposing might have written these fabled diaries?
Akira: Hmm...
