Snap: That looks FUN!
Bisquick: Too bad that I'm molting and it's cold out!
Buttermilk: PIP! Will you STOP laying in the middle of the floor!
Pippy: I'm sorry! I like to mix it up each day!
Hedwig: Well STOP! *about to peck Pip*
Omelette: STOP! REMEMBER THE NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION!
Hedwig: *stops* *scowls at Pip* you got lucky...
Hazel: Mommy does need to put better, fluffier shavings in the boxes...
Pip: I'LL SAY!

Snap: So-cold-so-cold-so-cold... It's actually kinda cozy inside--but when Mommy opened the door I felt like an ice-chicken!!!
Bisquick: TELL me about it!
Hazel: The heated bowl has come out once again!
Pippy: I hate but love that thing--Mommy has to fill it up a lot, but at least the water doesn't freeze.
Omelette: Let's see if it'll stand against this weather that is in the teens--getting into the single digits over night! :O
Buttermilk: Fight the cold bowl! Fight it!

Sophia:Layer butter cassorole with cabbage tonight!
Elanor: It's collldddd....
Marianne: I'm Freeeziingg!!...
Sophia: Out east and midwest it is even colder! Marianne, we need eight cabbage leaves and a casserole dish. Elanor, mix up some layerbutter with eggs, we need two cups, four if you want some for breakfast tomorrow. I'll warm up the stove.
Marianne: The cassorole dish is in the Sunroom. I'm not going out there, it's too cold!
Sophia: Nonsense, chickencrazy and chicksgalore have it worse. Get out there! All you need to do is bring a cassarole dish!
Marianne: Fine!
Sophia: Ellie, WHAT are you doing?
Elanor: getting some water...
Sophia: Don't get it that way, you'll tip the fount. Go get some snow, it'll melt on the stove, and the layerbutter mixes smoothly that way.
Elanor: You want me to go out into the RUN? Where it is COLD!
Sophia: All you need is a DISH OF SNOW!!
Elanor: Fine...

Jazzy: My paws are all red from being cold :c but it's a whole 10 degrees here with a -5 degree windchill with some snow on the ground and lots of ice.
Mir: I like to eat the snow but I stay inside because it's too cold.
Ella: Y'all are crazy. It's not cold at all.
Mir: Ella thinks it's warm... Apparently Brahmas are cold weather chickens.

Hedwig: We got out this morning!
Omelette: AND THEN I DIED OF COLDNESS.
Hazel: It was pretty chilly.
Pippy: But we kept moving so it wasn't too bad!
Buttermilk: I never even went out...
Bisquick: Snap and Butter and I made it to the stoop though...
Snap: I was shivering. :( But it's nice and warm in the coop. :3

All chickens: H-hello???

All chickens: H-hi?

Feathery:I like the cornerback :p
Snowy: Russel Wilson!
Fluffy: I'm with Tweeter!
Snowy: well okay i'm with you to.
Tweeter: yay!

Buttermilk: RAIN! Rain messes up my feathers!!!! >:|
Hedwig: Well I kind of LIKE the rain because last night BISQUICK wasn't looking where her aim of fire was going, and it landed on ME.
Hazel: Poor Hettie she was under the roost and Bissy pooped, and it landed on her--
Hedwig: WELL DON'T TELL THEM!!
Pippy: Well why not?!
Hedwig: Cause I don't want everyone knowing that I got pooped on!!
Snap: You were kind of stinky last night....
Omelette: Yeah...
Hedwig: *hmph*

*Chickens gather around the TV with popcorn and soda*
Elanor: Let's try channel eight
TV: And the weather forecast tonight is for the tempurture to drop below freezing once more, creating icy roads and poor travel conditions...
Marianne: Let's hope it's better by Tuesday, because we have co-op.
Sophia: Anything better on?

Snap: I flew off a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE wall today!!!!
Buttermilk: The wipeout was a little bad though...
Bisquick: I flew off the same wall too!!!!
Pippy: We also played football with a cheesestick!! :D
Omelette: I had most of the posession. :3
Hazel: Nuh-uh!!! I had it a TON.
Hedwig: Guys, we all know who REALLY had it the most--
Pippy: ME!!! :D

Lady: Our coop is clean and we got to be outside!!!
Terry: It's sunny and warmish here finally! It has been really rainy and windy.
Lady: We are lucky; some people are snowed into their coops.
Princess: Spring is coming!!!!
Gertie: It's still January, Princess. We'll probably get snow in a few weeks.

Here I write the account of the past few days' escape attempts, lest in the future I forget them. To prevent this from being used against me if found by the prison guards, I must obscure some facts. However, I will write as truthfully as is safe.

I pride myself in my ability to escape. I suppose the prison isn't extremely high security, but I have baffled captors and escaped many times to the free lands to free range. They have clipped my wings to prevent flying over the door, made a more secure door fastener so that I cannot simply force the door open. They have blocked holes, stapled wires, put obstacles in my path, and still they cannot prevent my escape. They haven't figured out my route yet, either. I've seen them hiding behind trees and other obstacles to spy on me, but I waited until they were obliged to leave to escape again. I am confident that they will not discover my secret, and that even if they do, I will find another path to freedom. You won't hold me forever.

Bird On Hand: Perhaps we could have one next weekend at our coop?
Violet: Yes, we have plenty of bramble berries, snails, slugs, grapes, grape leaves, and fallen fruit.
Rose: We Dominiques are all part of the Keystone Koop, which is part of the Cirque des Poulets.
Bird On Hand: I'm the ringmaster.

Elanor: Next week...hmmm...*checks calander*
Marianne: We'll be busy much of next week. But the week after, maybe...

Columbine: That works for me.
Daisy: Yes, that would be fine.
Ivy: We can make our famous foot soup. It's very good.
Rose: We are very careful to stand in the waterer to make a good, strong, foot soup.
