I know you said your chickens had poultry ticks, but do you know if you have
deer ticks where you live? Deer ticks (any tick, really) don’t hurt when they bite, will leave a lot of blood when you smash them, and the bite site will bleed because of the anticoagulant they excrete as they suck your blood.
Furthermore, if you are allergic you can have lot of swelling and discomfort at the site... and deer ticks in particular will produce that target-type rash (bullseye rash).... and they carry Lyme disease

.... The key to preventing Lyme disease from causing lasting effects is
to get to the doctor right away for antibiotics! I cannot stress that enough.... When a tick bite is appropriately treated
right away, Lyme disease almost never becomes an issue. If your doctor isn’t used to treating it (ask him or her!) then you should ask them to look it up and make sure you get the appropriate antibiotic at the right dose and for the proper length of time. If you have good insurance, and don’t need referrals, you might even look for an infectious disease specialist in your area, and go to them instead of your PCP.
So to echo others’ advice:
Get thyself to the doctor, posthaste!
(And this is coming from someone who hates to go to the doctor unless I’ve got a limb hanging off, can’t breathe or am unconscious, if then)
