Is it possible for BJG to have whitish grey feet? I do not have a good image of the soles of her feet; however, they look the same color as my other black hen (assumed to be an Australorp from my previous post) but the exception is that this hen is way bigger than every other hen I have and I was under the impression that all BJG have yellow feet but this one does not. She clearly has whitish tones to her feet and black/grey legs.
I am pretty sure she is a BJG due to her sheer huge size and weight. She is the heaviest and she feels to be around 10 pounds when I hold her if I had to estimate her weight. She’s also gone broody twice and is an excellent protective mother to the Salmon Faverolle chick we have given her.
We got her from local farm store - not sure which hatchery they use or if they even use a hatchery (they probably do). Do hatchery BJG tend to have white/grey feet or do all BJG have that yellow sole whether or not they are from the hatchery?
