Time will tell. Right now he’s just annoyed with my obsession. I’ve been annoyed with his vehicle obsession for almost 20 years now so I suppose we’ll just keep on annoying each other.I bet your husband will eventually come to enjoy them!
That SOP book is on my wishlist! I’ll probably go ahead and order it today.I got three chickeny things. I got toys for the chickens (A swing, kebab holder, and xylophone.), A little yard ornament to put by my coop and the ultimate. The SOP!View attachment 2940228View attachment 2940229
I forced my husband’s hand at the building part of my chickens. I do care for them on my own. I promised that I would, and I do. It simply would not be fair if I didn’t. I’m sorry your husband didn’t stick to his word. I hope you at least enjoy them.Good job. Chickens can be fun and exciting.
Hubby is the one that wanted chicken here. He said don't worry I will take care of them, give them feed and water plus snacks he said. It did not work out that way at all. I had to do this.
When I was 5 yrs old I used to hold our neighbors chicken. No, I don't remember doing this at this age. I do have a black and white photo in early 60's. Mine is up on FB group I belong to. Who would of known that I would have my own chickens when we moved to the PNW. Not my choice but his.
I will be doing the caring of our spring backyard flock, along with DS, since we are the ones who want them. Since our current birds are at the farm, I have weekly but not daily responsibility there since there are a few of us that care for them. To me, it doesn’t seem like work. I often use the chickens as an excuse to go over there and find something to do with them! I don’t have the morning chores during work days (my retired aunt does the morning chores on my work days), and we split the rest. She travels to see grandkids on most vacations and some weekends, which works great so I take over full care when she is gone.I forced my husband’s hand at the building part of my chickens. I hope that you enjoy the keeping and all that is involved. Maybe have DH build you some coops and things that you like. It may re-engage him or just make things easier and more enjoyable for you ♡Who would of known that I would have my own chickens when we moved to the PNW. Not my choice but his.
