I run my banties with my standards ~ but my banties are pretty feisty.

I've got one Easter Egger pullet who has always been a lot smaller than the rest of the flock. She's also feisty and never gets picked on.

Just went to lock up the outdoor coop and found this! It was in the banty coop. I have 3 laying, but this egg isn’t the same color as the ones they always give me. It’s a bit darker. I think my Silkies are all too young to lay, so I’m stumped. No idea who laid the fairy egg.

Upper left you have the 3 horizontal bars. Click open, click forums >, click watched. Easiest way to hunt your threads down.

So, feeling pretty bad for you folks with frozen water. Think I feel much worse than you do because you guys seem in pretty good spirits. Must be all that youth
So I am sending warmth your way.

My idea of perfect temps are 65-85. We are just about there now. Don't like the hot but not built for cold. Pretty sure my flock thinks those are perfect Temps too!

Thank you! But those are just a few of my babies or dorks. Here is a small intro to my flock though I am always at a constant state of evolution.

This is my idea of winterizing my open coop lol cut and stapled feed bags.

No, ONLY closer to 30, think 28 last count, if I counted correctly. Down side of the revolving chicken door and getting older lol.

Argh! I lost this thread again. Didn't get notifications. here it has been going, rain really hard for a week, turn the chicken pen into a mud puddle, stay in the thirties for a day or two, and even out staying between the fifties and seventies. For the first time all four of the australorp hens laid yesterday! Congrats on June's first egg.

I’m having the same issues on threads I follow. Maybe the site is trying to tell our subconscious we spend too much time one here? Nah, that can’t be!

Cold! I’m bouncing between the boring, paying job and the coops trying to keep unfrozen water available for the flock. It wouldn’t be so bad if the wind would stop blowing. That just makes it miserable.
