First gut reaction is Slick, though... can't quite put my finger on it, but it looks like he'd throw some really sweet chicks. I'd like to see side-by-sides of both of them in 6 more months.

And I'll volunteer a very nice home to any that need it.

Jody, I agree with you on keeping an extra on hand. I wish I had not sold off their brother. I just need more roo pens.. That is why I am waiting to see who turns out the best. Both are as shiny as the other. Just depends on how the lighting lands.

Hey BamaChicken, in the future if you ever need to re~home one of those black girls your gonna hatch out, sure love to use one or two in my Lavender orp project..Be some nice blood to add in into a 3rd or 4th lavender orp strain..down the road...

I can't take credit for those blacks. I got the eggs from a breeder friend in Fl who shows his. These are from show quality Orps. I hope to take the ones I got last year and breed them together and get as many as I can this year. Let you know if I have any extras. I am hoping it cools off in the next few weeks so I can go ahead and get started.

We may also be able to hook you up with some lavender eggs to in the very near future, thats if your into that color orp to work with.
They wont be perfect but a very good start to them, also there are none in the USA alive to even compare ours to that we know of, we can only go by the UK types being bred today and follow in there foot steps..
