Black Australorp and Sapphire Gem?

Picked these babies up a few weeks ago (almost 5 weeks old). Supposed to be 3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Black Australorps and 4 Sapphire Gems. It's been a long time since I've had chicks, but I don't remember Australorps having so much color. There's only one of them that actually looks how I would expect it to look (Gem). Is it just the awkward age of did they sell me the wrong breeds? Sorry about the picture quality. They weren't exactly cooperative.

Circled in blue: GLW (Golden Laced Wyandottes)
Circled in white: Some sort of production bird.
Circled in black: Cuckoo Marans

The blue bird could be a gem, but not sure on her.

One of the cuckoo marans is definitely a cockerel.

Definitely no Black Australorps in there. Who told you what they were?

From this picture it looks like you have

Looks like you have 2 GLW.
3 probable production reds.
The barreds are probably marans. They could be male SGs, but it looks like you only have one cockerel out of them. So they wouldn't be.
The solid girl could be a SG, but perhaps a blue australorp.

I get the impression that pretty much no one in the "farm stores", especially the large chains, know a darn thing about chickens. Someone I know was once told that the birds in a bin were pullets (because the sign said so) even though she knew they were cockerels given they were sex links.

I guess I was hopeful considering my parents have never had that problem and they get several every year but I'm not surprised, just disappointed. Actually kind of excited about the cockerel. We also had no intention of getting any that day, but oh well.

You might have a few Sapphire Gem Roosters. Remember, SGs are a hybrid so you will see some differences in each bird.
