Black Austrolop?

Here is my little Lady Ashley "black austrolop" she is at about 6 weeks. Is this a black austrolop???? or could it be another breed? Also Is she a she or should I re name him Drover??? She is named after the movie Australia. Oh and her feathers have a purplish sheen to them.

Doesnt look like a BA, but does look like a roo.

I am worried about that little comb there but it has always been like that like it hasnt gotten any bigger or anything.

I think it looks like a BA. They have a lot of light down until they feather out. That amount of comb doesn't seem unreasonable to me. It's not red. They are supposed to have a green/purple sheen to their feathers. Did you check the bottoms of her feet? yellow= jersey giant pink= australorp

yep they are pink. now im nervous that she is a roo.

I don't think you should be worried. I would be if the comb were at least twice the size and red.

Um.. all australorps are made black... The breed is made my opringtons and some other breed. Yours looks more like a splash orpington.
