Poor little cochin, I'll be staring at him a lot, he wont get much privacy! haha

Can I ask where you got him? I should pm I pictures to you of mine. There is 2 of mine that were sold as straight feathered bantam cochins. People just told me that It will be straight and you can not get a frizzled. But I don't know mines parents and never got to see pictures it was a mail order from a hatchery. Mine are all white if that helps any. I had also order barred and birchen and those one are straight feathers on them so far like it is suppose to. But they do sell frizzles there at hatchery.(in white, red, black)

I got them from a local person that raises them. Shes here in Nova Scotia. It isnt a hatchery, just a private farm. If he turns out to be frizzle though, Im going to try and breed him to bring out the trait. I'll have to do some research on how that is done.

I just had a BLRW whose first feathers came in like that - but she turned out to be a totally normal-looking BLRW hen. Or cockerel, I ended up with one of each and I can't remember which one looked frizzle as a chick. I think sometimes they just feather in a little funky. But frizzles look really cool, so I'll hope for you that it turns out to be so.
