My hens have black marks on their combs. After searching on this forum I think it's frostbite. I'm going to put coconut oil and bag balm on them, but do hens recover from this or am I going to lose them :(?

Frostbite is not often fatal. Last year both my roosters had frostbite because my coop didn't have adequate ventilation. I never did anything for them except to improve ventilation in the coop the best I could, and both lost the points off their combs, but both are fine and healthy otherwise. I wouldn't be worried about losing them.

Your hens should recover fine from frostbite, especially if it isn't that severe. I've had roosters get rather significant frostbite, and they've all lived.
