Black Copper Maran Eggs

onthespot~ I got my Wheaton Marans pullet from Donna in Norco too! She is a really nice lady and very high quality birds. She also showed me some eggs when I picked up my chick. They were really dark. I want to go back and get about 2 more pullets from her. I have a picture of the chick I bought from her on the French Chicken Online Show thread. She's so cute!

And let's not forget the actual (future) egg layers... Hatched March 25th.
Here is Brownie 1. (Lemme guess, there are two identical hens that look like this... you are RIGHT!)

That's "Tipsy" in the background of the first hen pic (well, her body at least.) She is marked a lot like "Cull 2" dark and shiny with golden hackles, but a little bit more, and a richer color than Cull 2 has. I didn't take any portrait type shots of her today, but I did find some bad shots of her in the background of other photos.

Oh Adele! Your girls are coming along so beatifully! Now see, that golden one I'd like to put with Chester. The really black one and the other two should go with Lightning. My two brownies can go with Roo 3...

Ok, here's a photo of my Wheaton Marans chick. I just got her last Friday!

WOW! She looks like she's gonna be a big 'un for sure! Get a load of those feet! I just love her Wheatens, but I don't have another place to put another variety of birds.

Yeah, she's huge! She looks like a dinosaur! She's about the same age as the Wyandotte chick in the picture. I really want to get 2 more.
