OMGosh that sounds heavenly.. I would love to be part of that!!! Maybe Andy could show us how to caponize before we have the Freezer camp session that way they could all be big.. he lives not too far from you... Farther from me.

Is there any reason I can't put twenty cuckoo Manans peeps in the black copper pen just for a couple of months, or less? This time of year seperation pens are at a premium. I'll be finished more pen soon but it would be easier if thr cuckoo's could grow up a little with the Black Copper peeps.

geebs , has agreed to post Marans FAULTS and DQ's in front of the BC Marans thread if we will send them to her. If you are not sure of it being a fault post it on the thread and get an opinion. We will have to get some nice pictures for her to be able to do this . I will have plenty after my chicks grow a little . Will start taking some pictures tomorrow. The picture can be of any variety as long as it is a fault.

Which group is DQ and which is faults etc... Please add to the list... Emailing it too me saves me time as I will build a file first.

Snowbird (Don) Would you be a sweety and Post a Notice like this in the general thread and tell them to find this post. We need to start one thread at a time with color faults etc...

Wynette: You have the main thread.. would it be possible for us to have you post pictures of GENERAL FAULTS like split wing, thumbprint combs, crooked keel, roach back, etc... I think that is the most useful place for the general fault and then we can post color faults in front of the threads that pertain to them specifically...

Ok this one has me puzzled.....I was leaning towards roo but now I'm thinking pullet. It's about 12 weeks old. Hardly any coppering but the waddles are bigger than all the other pullets....still smaller than the roos waddles.

Here is a BlC roo and a BlC pullet that hatched with it for comparison.

What do you think??

Look at the saddle feathers I do believe they may be giving you a rooster indication.

I did there is no copper at all in the saddle feathers and they are rounded points

......in between the roo and pullet
