Is that a splash copper marans in your avatar? I've looked for blues in my area, but can't find them

So I went with the black coppers.

yeah, its a Splash Copper, Big Boy. Where are you located?

As Pinkchick stated on the other thread more than likely they are blue coppers, but you have no way of knowing for sure until they grow out some to see if they get color or not. Solid Blue, Black or Splash in the Marans are difficult to find as they are not common.

thanks guess I missed her reply the lady who gave the eggs to me has a splash hen and a black and bcm and bcm roos they all free range together so anything was possible

haha I figured you weren't close by me, no one seems to be too close to me. I was just wondering if there might be someone from on here not too awfully far from you with some blues.

Haha, thanks =) Unfortunatly, I don't have room for anymore birds, once not being able to find any blues, I stocked up to the max with the other breeds I planned on getting. I am hoping to make a new coop soon, so maybe I'll change the plans to make it large enough for some =) Chicken math is true, started with six, now have twenty-two! lol. I
