Will y'all rate my eggs. I know they ain't the darkest. How much work would it take to get them or their offsprings to dark eggs. If I breed a dark rooster to them will that be any better.

Bigs, Do you have an egg chart? If not, I suggest you obtain one from either Marans clubs. They are about $8 for full size, and let you place your eggs right on the chart to compare them yourself. The problem with pictures, is that the hues get distorted.

bigsprings - where in the laying cycle were your hens when the laid these eggs? Just starting to lay? Age of girls?
