Wow that is a beautiful bird! Certainly had much more copper than my boys at that age. Love it!

All of my FBCM are currently 6 months old, these photos are from probably a month ago. The last pic shows one of my pullets that is mostly black with very little copper showing yet. They just started laying this week. My cockerel was showing a very prominent comb from a very early age.

Agree with above, you have a pullet.

Two pullets. Both are Marans. The first appears to be a Black Copper, non-feather-legged. The second appears to be a French Black Maran.

Yep looks like I'll be testing my breeders guaranteed sex deal she sold with the chickens. Should I give it longer? Looking at the comb it's not very big and not very red. Here's a couple more shots of him/her (same bird in both pics)

Looks like a pullet to me. Tail feathers are rounded, not pointed... smaller comb. She's very pretty. Hope you get some nice eggs from her!
