Black Copper Marans

I'm wondering about my Black Copper Marans and breeding them. I'm worried that they are not standard to the breed.

My roo, Ozzy, is BEAUTIFUL! However his hackle feathers are more of a straw color and his saddle feathers are a golden copper color. My hen, Sharon, is not dark enough and hasn't started developing any copper tones.

Any clue as to what might be going on with the coloring in these two?

They are not BCM, they are Marans but mostly from a line of blacks crossed with Wheaten, they are mostly E/eWh so leaky blacks instead of Birchen based

The Hen appears to be Blue and the Rooster appears to be Birchen based but both are heterozygous for Extended black

The hen is just blue. How can you tell if she's extended black, extended black/wheaten or extended black/birchen?

The rooster seems to be a cross between copper and silver (birchen) and his legs and feet are clean not feathered.

EDIT: After taking another good look I doubt if he is a pure Marans at all: bodytype and rather long, thin and clean legs etc.

I do not want to offend the OP or diminish her love for this cockerel. I just assess what I see. I am breeding Original French Marans for almost 20 years now.

I am curious as to why You think I changed mind and why do You think my statements even contradict themselves on a single post?

Maybe I'm missing something but looks like first post says they have wheaten but not birchen but the second posts says birchen with no mention of Wheaton.
I'm unsure how to tell if the hen carries Wheaton or birchen or neither if she's solid color and extended black.

I said they appear as in appearance but we're infact heterozygous Extended Black, E/eWh hens are usually solid in nature unless they carry a Columbian restrictor, E/eWh males Will look like a Dark Pseudo Birchen
